AI visibility tracking for small business
Some of your customers have stopped searching and started asking. When they ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini about what you do, either your site gets named or someone else's does — and unlike Google, there is no analytics tab that tells you which. GeoKara checks, weekly, and writes it down.
Why you cannot see this in Google Analytics
When an assistant summarises your page and the person never clicks, you get no session, no referrer and no record that it happened. When they do click, the referrer is often stripped or lumped in with direct traffic. Your analytics can tell you a great deal about the people who arrived; it can tell you nothing about the far larger number who asked a question, got an answer that mentioned a competitor, and went there instead.
The only way to know is to ask the assistants the same questions your customers ask, and write down what they say. That is all this is.
What you get each week
- Whether you were cited, per assistant, for each tracked question — and what changed since last week.
- Which of your pages earned it. Grouped by page, so you can see that your pricing page is doing the work and your homepage is not.
- Which other sites were cited for the same questions. Not a competitor-intelligence suite — a ranked tally of who else shows up, which is usually enough to tell whether a topic is winnable.
- Whether a topic has an owner. A question where six different sites get cited is an open field. One where the same site wins every time has an incumbent, and is a much harder thing to take. Those two look identical if all you know is “not cited”.
Where the questions come from
Not from a keyword tool, and not from guesswork. GeoKara reads the searches your site already appears for in Search Console and turns the question-shaped ones into tracked prompts — so what gets asked is what your actual customers actually typed. You can edit the list, remove anything irrelevant, and add questions you know you get asked on the phone.
Which assistants, and why not more
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini — queried through their official APIs with web search enabled, because without it a model answers from memory and cites nothing, which would turn this into a guess dressed up as a measurement.
Microsoft Copilot is not on that list. There is no public API for it, and the third-party route we built and tested returned no usable data across fourteen real queries. The code is written and switched off. We would rather have a shorter list that is true.
What it costs
$29/month tracks 10 questions a week for one site. $129/month tracks 20 a week for each of up to 5 sites, and writes blog drafts for the questions you are losing. Every tracked question is a real paid API call each week, which is why this is a subscription and not a free tool.
